Platelet-Rich Fibrin Used as a Scaffold in Pulp Regeneration: Case Series

Regenerative endodontic treatment (RET) is a biologically based approach to provide root development and increase the prognosis of teeth. The purpose this case series was evaluate clinical radiological results RET using platelet-rich fibrin (PRF), in 4 immature teeth with necrotic pulps. At end 18-24-month follow-up, no symptoms were recorded. Apical closure observed 3 All preoperative periapical lesions healed. However, calcified tissue formed middle third one diagnosed chronic apical periodontitis at 3-month follow-up. PRF successful as scaffold can be recommended for revascularization protocol tooth attributed many factors such duration pulp necrosis, pretreatment status region viability living tissues.
